Installation

The Flow Switch is installed within a tee fitting on the water supply line to the emergency unit. Proper installation requires the tee fitting to be mounted horizontally, with the flow switch body oriented vertically and positioned at least 6" from the nearest fitting. Flow direction is clearly indicated on the switch body. The unit comes complete with a weatherproof electrical junction box featuring a gasketed cover for secure, reliable operation in various environments.

Double pole, double throw flow switch for use with emergency equipment. Flow switch is installed in water supply line upstream of emergency unit.

When unit is activated, switch senses the movement of water in the supply line. Switch can be used to activate alarm horn and light or send electrical signal to monitoring system.
